Functionalizable coaxial PLLA/PDLA nanofibers with stereocomplexes at the internal interface

چکیده
Abstract Multifunctionality of electrospun polylactic acid (PLA) nonwovens was generated by the morphological design nanofibers. Coaxial fibers with a lower number average molar mass M n PLLA core and higher PDLA shell form PDLA–PLLA stereocrystals at interface, induced annealing. In tensile tests under physiological conditions, core–shell crystallinity (22% compared to 11–14%) had Young’s moduli E (9 ± 1 MPa) elongation break ε b (26 3%) than alone ( = 31 9 MPa, 80 5%), which can be attributed simultaneous crystallization relaxation effects. Gelatin incorporated in phase presented on outer surface providing biointerface putatively favorable for cell adherence. incorporation did not influence behavior but slightly lowered T g (60 → 54 °C). Employing exclusively polymers established clinic, multifunctionality design. Graphic abstract

Refraction at the Interface of a Lossy Metamaterial
The refraction phenomenon at the interface of an ordinary material and a lossy metamaterial has been investigated. For oblique incidence on the lossy metamaterial, the planes of constant amplitude of the refracted wave are parallel to the interface and the plane of constant phases make a real angle with the interface (real refraction angle). The real refraction angle and hence, the real refract...
متن کاملPolyacrylonitrile nanofibers coated with silver nanoparticles using a modified coaxial electrospinning process
BACKGROUND The objective of this investigation was to develop a new class of antibacterial material in the form of nanofibers coated with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using a modified coaxial electrospinning approach. Through manipulation of the distribution on the surface of nanofibers, the antibacterial effect of Ag can be improved substantially. METHODS Using polyacrylonitrile (PAN) as the...
متن کاملInterface of Software Components with Internal Behaviors
We present an automata-based execution model describing the interaction and internal behaviors of software components extending our previous work with internal behaviors. In order to make the services provided by the component unblockable without knowing the implementation details, we propose an interface model that specifies all the unblockable interaction behaviors with any environment. To th...
متن کاملThe internal structure of self-assembled peptide amphiphiles nanofibers{
The self-assembly of peptide amphiphiles (PAs) into nanofibers and their bioactivity as well as physical properties have been investigated by our laboratory over the past few years. We report here on the use of transmission infrared spectroscopy (IR) and polarization modulation-infrared reflection-absorption spectroscopy (PM-IRRAS) to characterize the internal structure of the nanofibers. Depos...
متن کاملFunctionalizable collagen model peptides.
The functionalizability and conformational properties of azidoproline (Azp)-containing collagen model peptides (CMPs) were studied. The results show that (4R)Azp has a similar stabilizing effect on the collagen triple helix as (4R)hydroxyproline and that functionalized CMPs are readily accessible by "click" chemistry. The resulting triazole-functionalized CMPs form stable triple helices, demons...
